The undersigned is aware that there are risks and dangers inherent in participating in the December 2024 Kirkland JKA Winter Tournament. In consideration of being permitted to participate, I hereby release and waive any claims against Kirkland Municipality, Kirkland JKA, the Japan Karate Association, JKA-SKD Canada, and any and all clubs, schools, instructors, members, judges, officials, officers, directors and representatives relating thereto (collectively the "Releases") for any injury or damage which I may suffer while participating, including travel to and from the Tournament.

I understand and agree that this Release will have the effect of releasing, discharging, waiving and forever relinquishing any and all actions, those causes of action that I may have or have had, whether past, present or future, whether now known or unknown and whether anticipated or unanticipated by me, arising out of my participation at the Tournament. This Release shall be binding upon me, my heirs, successors, administrators, assigns and legal representatives.

I assume full responsibility for any and all risk of death or personal injury or property damage, which I may suffer while participating at the Tournament. I expressly acknowledge and assume any and all risk that my participation at the Tournament may subject me to personal injury to bodily harm.

I confirm that I have no past or present medical condition, injury or other physical or mental restriction which may cause or contribute to personal injury or property damage while participating at the Tournament and if in case I have such a condition, I agree to forthwith nullify the Releases, as the case may be, and withdraw from the Tournament.

I further agree by signing this Release, I shall indemnify and hold any of the Releases harmless from any and all liability or costs, including legal fees, associated with or arising from my participation at this tournament.

I acknowledge that I have read this Release and that I understand the words and language in it. I sign this Release freely and voluntarily.

Le soussigné est conscient des risques et dangers inhérents à la participation au Tournoi d'hiver JKA de Kirkland de décembre 2024. En contrepartie de l'autorisation d'y participer, je renonce par la présente à toute réclamation contre la municipalité de Kirkland, le club JKA de Kirkland, la Japan Karate Association, JKA-SKD Canada, ainsi que tous les clubs, écoles, instructeurs, membres, juges, officiels, dirigeants et représentants s'y rapportant (collectivement, les « Parties exonérées ») pour toute blessure ou tout dommage que je pourrais subir pendant ma participation, y compris mes déplacements aller-retour pour le Tournoi.

Je comprends et j'accepte que cette décharge aura pour effet de libérer, de décharger et de renoncer définitivement à toute action ou cause d'action que je pourrais avoir ou avoir eue, passée, présente ou future, connue ou inconnue à ce jour, prévue ou imprévue, découlant de ma participation au Tournoi. Cette décharge m'engage, ainsi que mes héritiers, successeurs, administrateurs, ayants droit et représentants légaux.

J'assume l'entière responsabilité de tous les risques de décès, de blessures corporelles ou de dommages matériels que je pourrais subir lors de ma participation au Tournoi. Je reconnais expressément et j'assume tous les risques liés à ma participation au Tournoi et à d'éventuels dommages corporels.

Je confirme n'avoir aucun antécédent médical, blessure ou autre limitation physique ou mentale susceptible de causer ou de contribuer à des blessures corporelles ou à des dommages matériels lors de ma participation au Tournoi. Si tel était le cas, j'accepte de résilier immédiatement les présentes Décharges de responsabilité et de me retirer du Tournoi.

En signant cette Décharge, j'accepte également d'indemniser et de dégager de toute responsabilité les parties exonérées de toute responsabilité et de tous frais, y compris les frais juridiques, liés à ma participation à ce Tournoi.

Je reconnais avoir lu et compris les termes et le langage de cette Décharge. Je la signe librement et volontairement.
